Designer Water pH10® is a premium alkaline water produced through a 14-stage advanced filtration process — one of the most rigorous in South Africa. The result is exceptionally pure water at pH 10 with a smoother taste and an enhanced mineral profile including Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium.

Three things set us apart:

1. Filtration rigour. Our 14-stage process includes sediment filtration, activated carbon, reverse osmosis, UV sterilisation, and ozonation — far beyond the industry standard 3-stage process.

2. Verifiable pH 10. Our alkaline level exceeds the thresholds used in published peer-reviewed research, including a study published in JAMA — one of the world’s most respected medical journals.

3. Six independent certifications. SANBWA, ISO 22000, GFSI, GC Mark, Kosher, and Halal. Most competitors hold one or two.

Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, consume within 7 days for the best taste. When sealed and stored correctly, Designer Water has been independently verified to maintain its quality for up to 3 years.

This is completely normal and safe. The white particles are naturally occurring minerals — primarily Calcium and Magnesium — that can become visible due to temperature changes. This is actually a sign of the water’s mineral-rich composition. Shake gently if preferred.

pH strips are designed for liquids with higher Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), typically above 150 ppm. Designer Water is exceptionally pure with TDS levels below 50 ppm. This purity means standard pH strips cannot provide accurate readings.

To test our pH, use a calibrated pH meter — which is the same tool used in laboratory testing and gives precise results in low-TDS water.

Yes. Designer Water is safe for daily consumption. If you are new to high-pH water, start with a glass or two per day and increase as you find comfortable. As with all water, the key benefit comes from consistent, adequate hydration throughout the day.

Designer Water is safe for general consumption, including during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, we always recommend consulting your healthcare provider for personalised advice regarding your specific needs.

Our filtration process is one of the most rigorous in South Africa. It includes multi-media pre-filtration, activated carbon filtration, high-pressure reverse osmosis, polishing filters, UV sterilisation, ozone treatment, and mineral enrichment — among other steps. The result is water that is stripped clean at the molecular level and then carefully enhanced with Calcium, Magnesium, and Potassium.
A growing body of peer-reviewed research has examined alkaline mineral water. Here is what the published science supports:

Acid reflux and digestive support (strongest evidence): Research published in JAMA Otolaryngology found that an alkaline water and Mediterranean diet protocol matched or exceeded conventional PPI medication for reflux symptom reduction (Zalvan et al., 2017). Separately, a study in the Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology showed that water at pH 8.8 inactivates pepsin — a key enzyme in reflux damage. Designer Water pH10® exceeds this threshold by 1.2 pH points (Koufman & Johnston, 2012).

Hydration efficiency and exercise recovery: A 100-person double-blind study found high-pH water reduced blood viscosity by 6.3% post-exercise compared to 3.36% with standard water (Weidman et al., 2016). Other studies have observed improved acid-base balance and hydration recovery in athletes (Chycki et al., 2018; Heil, 2010).

Bone health: Studies have found that bicarbonate-rich alkaline water reduced markers of bone resorption (Wynn et al., 2009; 2010; Nasseri et al., 2021).
